Potty training is killing me. I was expecting it to take a while. I knew I would need lots of patience. What I wasn't anticipating? Having to run outside without pants because Denali started to leave a lovely little dump on the carpet. Yes, you read that right...first thing Wednesday morning, I had to run outside pants less so the tiny little puppy wouldn't make a mess in the house. Yet another reason why I think cute undergarments is always a necessity.
What do you do with a one year old? I'll be watching my niece all day on Fridays for the semester, and I'm trying to figure out how to entertain her for nine hours. I don't want her watching tv too much, so I got some books. That's all I can think of right now because I'm used to watching kids a little older than her. Send me ideas!
I got a job finally! I'll be watching a set of twins during the week after school. This will still give me plenty of time to work on my jewelry and hopefully start to put more effort into this blog again (because this is a safe place and we can all admit it's been a little lacking lately)
I took Denali to the vet on Thursday and she's only a little more than 3 pounds at 9 weeks. I'm not sure how much you all know about lab and/or husky puppies, but they're supposed to be a lot larger by now. There are a few possible reasons for this: a) the seller wasn't telling the truth and her parents weren't a purebred lab and purebred husky, b) she's abnormally tiny, or c) she was really malnourished and just wasn't able to grow as big as she should have by now. I'm guessing "c" at this point because you can see all of her tiny little ribs and she doesn't have much of an appetite. Poor baby.
And now, because I've been up every two hours with a baby dog who has to pee constantly, I'm too exhausted to think anymore. Also, from re-reading everything I've written down, I'm apparently pretty focused on puppy news at the moment. Sorry, but not really
